Uplands — Newer Single-Detached Homes at London's Northern Edge
A low-density, mostly single-detached neighbourhood built from the 1990s onward, just northeast of Masonville Mall and bordering Sunningdale.
Uplands' first homes went up in the 1990s and early 2000s, and the neighbourhood has continued expanding northward along the city's edge since. It sits in the northern part of London — roughly bounded by Richmond Street, Fanshawe Park Road, Adelaide Street, and the city's northern limits — just northeast of Masonville Mall, and directly adjacent to Sunningdale, with Fanshawe Park Road forming the border between the two. Nearly all Uplands residents live in low-density, single-detached homes, with a number of townhouse complexes also in the mix. The Uplands Trail links the neighbourhood's pockets together for walking and cycling, and community life centres on Jack Chambers Public School, built in 1992.
